Has your weight gain just snuck up on you without you realizing it and now your pants will not fit?. It is a common occurrence for some one to decide that they are not happy with the shape of their body and they want to do whatever it takes to change it. I have been struggling with a weight issue for many years now. When it came to losing weight, I was clueless. While I would be able to achieve some success every now and then when it came to getting fit and trim, I was never able to stay that way. The true problem was over the long haul I was really just continually getting bigger.
In my childhood I would run and play and I was not chubby. I never worried about what or how much I ate. There was a lot of time spent outside with my friends and I rarely seemed to stop moving around. I would eat what my mother cooked and rarely snacked on things between meals.
Unfortuantley as the years went by I started to gain weight. I was less active and had stopped some of the fun activities I used to do. I was becoming more aware of my growing size and started to worry about how it would affect me. The were other hints that I had to face. I had to start buying larger sized clothing.
I started to think of different things that I could do to change and thought if I bought a videotape with a six pack ab exercise program I would become more active and when I started my first exercise regimen I noticed I noticed that I was getting thinner. I did not think it was a big problem. The reality of it was that I had gotten fat.
I started to notice other little changes as well as my mood had slowly changed. I was feeling sad and upset that I had gained so much weight, but I felt alone and even when I turned to message boards such as the biggest loser weight loss forum I still did not know what to do or where to go to get help although it seemed that a lot of people I knew were also overweight and it was not really a subject that I could talk to them about.
One day I looked in the mirror and staring back at me was a total stranger. It was a moment of awareness that I could not deny. I wanted to be active, enjoy activities and live my life again. The only thing that I could do was to change the way that I was living my life and get my body shape back. For me, I did not want to use diet pills Even though I had read a lot about the available surgeries, they were not the way I wanted to go and I knew one of those plans that told me I could lose weight fasting was not the solution that I was looking for.
It took time and effort but I lost the weight. In the end I just started making healthier choices about what to put into my body. I made it a point to workout more often. I did not start out with a strenuous regimen. Every day I tried to work a little harder. Because of the effort I am now at a healthy weight. I did not let anything stop me from losing the weight I no longer wanted. There is no substitute for that.

You have read it over and over again that being overweight can pose many health risks such as heart attack, stroke, and diabetes. If you are a candidate for any of these chronic diseases because of your heavy weight, you need to make a weight loss plan that can help you gain back your figure and improve your health.
When setting up a weight loss plan, you need to know what your long term and short term goals are. If you are going to get fit and trim, figure out what you want to accomplish quickly and what you want to accomplish over a longer period of time. It does not matter if you try to get fit and trim in six months or two years as long as you have a clear picture. At the start of a fitness regimen you should set some milestones that you are trying to reach quickly. There are some things that a person should be aware of when they are coming up with a diet program to use.
Set realistic goals. Like any long term goal that you set for your self, your weight loss plan should not be too ambitious that it is impossible to make it work, no matter how much effort you put into it and whether you want to lose weight fasting or some other way it must be reachable. Although some weight will come off quickly when a fitness regimen begins, you should not expect to lose 20 pounds a week Not only is this ambitious, this is downright dangerous. Our bodies are not designed to lose weight in this fashion and a person can harm themselves when they try to do this.
In order to understand what is the ideal weight that you should be at, you need to figure out what your BMI is through a formula that takes into account your body shape. The National Institute of Health recommends a healthy range between 19 and 24.9. If your BMI is between 25-29.9, you are considered overweight, while any BMI above 30 is considered obese. Use your BMI as your guide in checking how many pounds you need to lose, and set a realistic time frame to achieve your goal.
Do not be vague about what you expect to accomplish. For example, do not just say that you to lose weight this year. Instead, say that you will lose 5 pounds this month, and you will accomplish this by starting my six pack ab exercise program while you start eating healthier as this trains the mind to focus on your goal if by using specific words that can emphasize what you want to accomplish within what timeframe.
Take baby steps. You can’t give up just because the scale is not giving you the numbers that you expect. You do not have to do it all at one time and when you find it tough to keep trying, remember that you can try a couple of things that will help get you healthier. For example, if you don’t have enough energy today to go to the gym, you can just do a few crunches, or just walk around your house for 15 minutes. Always divide your weight loss plan into small, doable activities, maybe something that can be finished in 15-20 minutes.
Stay optimistic about your plan. Remember that your weight loss plan will be for your benefit, and giving up on it just because it seems too difficult for you to follow, also means you are not giving yourself the chance to succeed so when you feel disappointed, help yourself with some pep talk or find support on forums such as biggest loser weight loss forum to help you get back on the game.
In order to get fit and trim and stay that way a person needs to follow a good lifestyle that includes proper diet and exercise. Start a journal to track your weight as you progress through a diet and exercise plan in order to help you reach the body that you deserve.
